Troublesome is the only way to describe Acne. Acne is the NUMBER ONE skin disorder in the United Sates affecting almost everyone at some point in his or her life. Usually characterized by blackheads, spots and pimples, acne can also get severe causing painful cysts, inflammation and infection with eruptions going deep into the skin leaving long-lasting scars.
As simple as it may sound Acne is basically an inflammation disorder, no matter what your skin type. Excess oil production, hormonal activity, uneven shedding of dead skin cells all lead to the building up of bacteria and “plugging” of the hair follicle resulting in inflammation of the skin.
There is a solution. Keep in mind that since acne is an inflammation disorder, doing what ever you can to reduce inflammation of the skin is your number one defense. And anything that can irritate the skin can lead to inflammation.

Men are no different than women in the skin diseases they get. But, while most skin diseases occur in all types, certain skin problems are more common among those with darker skin tones. The term “skin of color” refers to diverse skin types and complexions including people of African, Asian, Indian, Hispanic, Native American, Arabic and/or Mediterranean descent. So if a man wants to look good he hast to deal with his skin, no matter what color it is.
