Inspired by Nobel Peace prize Winner Wangari Maathai, their Trees for the 21st Century program offers an ambitious tree planting program as a way to provide hands-on activities for children and youth to learn about, and become long-term stewards of the environment.
- Educate young people with a curriculum of scientifically-based environmental knowledge;
- Encourage youth to take actions which will help advance the mission; and
- Ensure that these actions/activities can be repeated and expanded as participants grow in knowledge and capacity.
